Kaspar van Lierop (KVL) is a former professional skateboarder born in the Netherlands, where he became one of the founding fathers of Nike’s successful Skateboarding division, making connections all over the world.
Based in the USA since 2011, he is the most Globally Connected, Experienced and Passionate skateboarder with extensive (corporate) Skate / Fashion industry experience.
Established ASICS Skateboarding's MVP, set the strategy, created the skate team, provided a creative direction, hired staff, created a 2023 brand plan, led the launch campaign.

KVL helped ASICS negotiate the Liz Akama (15y/o) deal, followed by her winning silver at the Olympics Women's Street in Paris 2024
A founding father of Nike’s Skateboarding division and its first headcount in Europe, KVL designed and established a business from the ground up which now represents 33% of SB’s global revenue.
KVL has been responsible for Nike Skateboarding‘s global sports marketing strategy and most of SB’s athlete signings, which has resulted in one of the most respected and influential skate teams of all time.
Orchestrated the signing of 4 Olympic Skateboard Federations (first time in history of the sport), spearheading the Olympic kits’ concept and
lined up the collaborating with artist (Parra) for Tokyo 2020.
Pioneered path for use of Physical Therapists and Training that has become accepted and the norm in the skateboard industry.
Invented and launched a skateboard Athlete Career Development program, a new service that provides guidance for athletes transitioning out of their professional athlete career.
